... :)
I might do a realistic version when I find some time
Daily Deviation, 2006-12-05

Daily Deviationbrazil 2206 by ~begemott is such a great painting. What I love the most about this is that no matter how advanced our technology gets, people will still be people through it all. Some things never change. In this case, it's a good thing. (Featured by `Aeires)

looks great for a cartoon, but when you do the realistic version, do more background buildings.

Yah, your city/town-scapes are great! And inspiring.
ha I love the way this looks. its a great concept.
was this colored in photoshop or something else? Because I really like how clean it looks.
thanks :)
it's a pencil sketch colored in photoshop
do you know any tutorials that I can read up on to get the same kinda coloring style?
hm, dunno.. I didnt use some particular technique that I read somewhere.

What you should probably do is look into custom brushes. I just put everything in its own layer, and colored it using the bristle brush (from the standard ps brushes) and a custom brush to add texture (one of the ps natural brushes modified). Plus one more custom brush for the clouds and smoke, and airbrush for the details and making things smoother at the end. I keep the sketch as a layer at the top, set to multiply, to keep the lineart visible.

hm, that's all.. it's actually a very simple process with the correct brushes and a lot of layers. Does this help?
great work!
