Wow...!! This is just incredible how intensively you put that feeling mothers and their children share into that picture of your's...! A bond which make these persons keep together in every place to which the journey might lead, an expression of care and prevision in the mothers' posture of the head, a kind of defence, need and contentment in the childrens' eyes... So simple-looking drawn and yet so impressive...!
This is beautiful - it makes me think of my daughter and her tremendous love for her own daughter ... the all-encompassing and even somewhat suffocating love that having a child can sometimes bring. You want to keep them as part of you for as long as possible, but eventually you have to let them go their own way - in your depiction, this moving away towards independence would rip a hole in the mother and it can actually feel that way for a time until you realize that it is the natural way of things.
A mother only seems angry. She's really just worried for your well being. She cares because you truly are a part of her to her. I wish I knew that before I did this to myself thinking she didn't care... Thank you for a beautiful piece that puts tears in my eyes. I love your style and your vivid imagination. It inspires me to go on to do great things in life!
