though I'll just say I'm not keen on his eye on my personal aesthetic biases on robots and their ilk

I have plenty of aesthetic bias towards many things though so it don't count

The robot looks a little bit too cartoon-y compared to the girl. Plus, the girl's knees are located a little too low. Actually, the lower half of her legs are much too small, including the feet.

I like the attention to detail. The texture of the ground and the tree... flower trunk is pretty nice.

Damn, how did I miss the knees? You are totally right.
And about the robot - I found out the bad way that what looks fine as a sketch is not necessarily fine when you shade it in a more realistic way. I'll do another iteration of this, fixing problems, since I want to make a polished piece for once.
