This is an actual building a few blocks from where I live, in the center of Manhattan. I saw it a few months ago, in the evening, when the horses where returning. It was very dirty, and the shadows of the horses looked very tired.

btw I used a sadistically designed pen with a very sharp edge pressing right against my middle finger... :x

It's fascinating how reality can outstrip what our minds can dream up, or rather, in this case someone dreamed up something we outsiders might find strange, but which makes perfect sense in context. No room for a stable in the city? Well, build a tall one then! Thank you for sharing this odd yet pleasantly quirky sight :)

This is Westside Livery. If you go to Google and put in the address (538 West 38 Street nyc), then go to Street view on the map you can see two gray horses standing outside. There is a video on YouTube which supposedly shows a little of the inside: [link] I don't necessarily vouch for the accuracy/intent that they are portraying, simply because it's unwise to start any accusations over limited info posted online. Anyway, I was curious and I thought I would post what I found.
